Kylie Jenner has been in the news for several reasons over the past week. As Kylie Cosmetics put orders on hold due to coronavirus, Jenner is doing what she can to help — and just made a $1 million donation.

When COVID-19 first began to spread in the U.S., Surgeon General Jerome Adams appeared on “Good Morning America” with a request for Influencers — and Jenner, specifically. Kylie quickly helped spread the word to her 176 million Instagram followers, and other fans on social media, about the importance of staying home. 

Orders On Hold

Kylie Cosmetics, which is now co-owned by Coty and Jenner, is unable to ship orders due to coronavirus. Kim Kardashian posted the same news about KKW Beauty. 

Seed Beauty, which manufactures Kylie Cosmetics, KKW Beauty, and ColourPop, has closed its fulfillment center in California indefinitely, due to COVID-19. The brands are still in stock at Ulta stores, however — and Kylie Skin is not affected, since it is fulfilling orders from a different location. Both brands posted the news on social media, and is offering consumers refunds if requested.

Funding Face Masks for Healthcare Workers

Kylie Jenner has joined the list of celebs and beauty brands helping to fight coronavirus with a $1 million donation. The funds will be used to buy face masks and other protective gear for healthcare workers in Los Angeles. 

TMZ reports that Dr. Thais Aliabadi, who delivered Stormi, thanked Jenner for the generous gift Wednesday, saying, “I am speechless, my eyes are filled with tears of joy and my heart is overwhelmed with gratitude. I made a wish to the Universe to gather protective masks for our brave healthcare workers and today my dream came true.”
